What were the highlights of your Regent Seven Seas cruise, especially in Northern Spain?
“Northern Spain was great because we had never been there. We had been to other parts of Spain. But Spain is such a unique country. We had the opportunity to go to two or three cities in Northern Spain, which we really enjoyed for a number of reasons.”
Can you share your experience in Bordeaux?
“We love Bordeaux and were able to spend a full day and a half exploring the city and surrounding Chateau’s.”
How did you find the tours and excursions?
“We generally take advantage of all the tours and excursions in each port. One that stood out was when we got to go to the Normandy beaches. There was a wonderful tour bus kind of day trip from the port down to the Normandy beaches. That was a spectacular day.”
What are your thoughts on the onboard service and amenities of the Regent Seven Seas cruise ship?
“We’ve always found the waiters, the bartenders, and the cabin staff to be really nice, flexible, and very accommodating. It’s all inclusive. You don’t have to be pulling your card out every time you want to get a drink or do something. So we really like that. The tipping is included, and the excursions, for the most part, are included.
The amenities on the ship are always first class, especially the different dining options. There’s always opportunities to find something that we like, so it kind of checks all the boxes for us as far as what we’re looking for.
Would you recommend Regent Seven Seas Cruises to others?
“Would definitely recommend it again. We’ve got another one booked in ’25 for northern Europe. I think Regent just — the quality of the ships, the itineraries, the quality of the excursions, the service levels — they really are all top notch and that’s why we continue to use them.”
How was your experience booking with Viking Travel?
“This was a trip that had been changed due to a canceled itinerary, but we found It was really easy to work with Viking on finding another one. Because of the offerings that region had, we were able to find something that kind of fit our needs with not too many overlapping ports. We were able to visit places that we hadn’t been to before and ended up in Lisbon and stayed three days in Lisbon, which was spectacular.”
